Professional Highlights: As a skater, I have competed at the National and
International level as a Synchronized Skater. More recently as a coach, I have
coached Master and Junior Synchronized Skating teams, entering a wide range of
competitions and exhibitions.
Interests: I work full-time as an Elementary teacher with the Ottawa-Carleton
District School Board. I also enjoy coaching track-and-field and basketball. On my
own time I enjoy reading, traveling, and visiting with family and friends.
Team: Fine Line
Philosophy: My coaching philosophy is such that I measure success largely by
the amount of learning and improvement achieved by individual skaters and by
the team as a whole, but also by noting and measuring the levels of fun and
enjoyment that my skaters experience. To me, a successful season yields
skaters with a strong desire to return; oftentimes with peers (and new team
members) in tow.
Coaching Experience: 9 years in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia.
Certification: NCCP Level 2, BA/BPHE Queen's University 2003, and MA
Coaching Theory: University of Alberta 2007
Professional Highlights: Before coaching, I was a 12-year member of the
Kanata Techniques Synchro temas. I have successfully coached teams from
across the country in 7 different synchro categories (pre-juv up to adult), and I
have learned wonderful lessons from each team.
Interests: I am currently working on my PhD in coach learning and development at the University of Ottawa. When I'm not at school or coaching, I love to spend time with my family and friends, and I love being outdoors. I also play competitive soccer and volleyball.

Philosophy: My goal is to help skaters fall in love with both skating and physical
activity in general. I want skaters to benefit from sport and learn the
importance of hard work, how to handle success and failure, and how be active
for life -- all while making great friends along the way!

Personal Skating Credentials: Freeskate – Sr. Silver, Dance - Gold, Skating

Personal Highlights: Competed at two synchronized skating world Junior
Championships as a member of Burlington Ice Image; 2nd place in Sweden,
6th place in Italy; competed at seven national synchronized skating
championships at the Novice, Junior, and Senior levels (highest placement:
1st); and currently a member of Gloucester's Fine Line adult synchronized skating team.
Interests: I am starting my PhD in Psychology at the University of Ottawa where my research focus areas include motivation, communciation, and well-being. Outside of coaching, my main interests include school, politics, languages, traveling, working out, spending time with my friends and family, and keeping up with my own skating.

Professional Highlights: Coached synchronized skating teams to Sectional
Championships Gold, Silver and Bronze medals at the juvenile, novice, junior
and adult competitive level. Coached synchronized skating teams to National
Championships at the novice, junior, adult competitive and festival levels.
Coached synchronized skating teams to National Championships Gold, Silver
and Bronze medals at the adult competitive level.
Interests: I work full time for the Federal Public Service. I enjoy travelling,
crafts, cooking, gardening, downhill skiing, rollerblading and the outdoors.
